Anyone can attend ANY in-person class (regardless of the county you reside in), or you can register for an online class. Unless noted, you do not have to pre-register for an in-person class; simply show up at the location at the date and time listed. For virtual classes, registering in advance for the class is preferred but you can also join at the start time.
All classes are free and open to the public.
Classes labeled “NWS SKYWARN – Basic” are online severe weather education classes that are open to everyone, regardless of county residence. Registration for these classes is limited to 500 registrants. If a class is full, continue to check back as any cancellations will open additional spots.
County-based classes feature the Basic SKYWARN presentation only, which is the same presentation as the “NWS SKYWARN – Basic” online classes.
